The Chessmen

Play like a champion with the library Championship Chess Set. A smaller reproduction of the European Pattern Chessmen, it has been used at every major chess Chapionship match for the past ten years. The list of tournaments that have used these Chessmen include The US Chess Championship, FIDE Olympiads, Linares, Dortmund, Wijk Aan Zee and many more.

The Chess set features a 3" King with a 1.125" diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish.

It has been designed to withstand the rigors of practical play while maintaining an elegance which has become the hallmark of a House of Staunton chess set. The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard that was introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993..

 

THE CHESSBOARD

Crafted in Europe, the African Palisander & Maple Wooden Tournament Chessboard features African Palisander (dark) and Maple (light) squares with an African Palisander frame. This Veneered Chessboard is 0.5'' thick, has a satin finish and comes with optional House of Staunton logo silk-screened on the h1 square and Rank and File Notation.
